The worship of a Catholic parish is indeed the most important thing that we do. It is so because everything else we do flows from this. The mass is the heart of our life. This needs to be understood in its proper context because oftentimes worship can be stuffy and lack the life that is its substance. Perhaps the best way to understand it is to be reminded that our relationship with God and with one another is a "love relationship". In the mass the beauty and grace that is at the heart of such a relationship is one of expressed affection for God and all those who gather at the mass with us, indeed with all the world, both living and departed. Such a high ideal moves us to be involved. From ushers to choir members, each provides an expression of our love of God as being Partners in Faith.
